That's pretty funny. I'm humored when I hear an old song and realize Mike had riffed on it at a later date. The latest was Jerry Lee Lewis' Great Balls of Fire from his Live at the Starclub. 77s song was Where It's At -88 |
Yup that's a favorite of mine too.

I should have vorted for Happy Chrimbo. It's unfinished but I'm particularly proud of that one, mostly 'cuz we did it lightening fast like the Lost Dogs do. Consequently, it always sounds fresh and immediate to me rather than labored over. I always have bad feelings towards labored over albums even if I like them. I remember the work and the striving and only hear the mistakes and failings. This seems to be a universal thing amongst recording artists. I wish we had the balls to go back to the 50's (and earlier) method of recording, which was live in the studio. Elvis started the thing of doing endless takes to perfect a master so I can blame him I guess. |
Like John Lennon said in an interview just before his death, that he cannot listen to any of the Beatles stuff, he just heard what parts he wanted to fix.

That's the way "random" works a lot of times.
Sometimes what looks truly random had been what is random looks planned out.
Weird, eh?

Yeah, I would like to know what more readers think! I thought Brian had some great points about the church, all very valid and very thought out, concise, etc. The profanity didn't bother me in the least, but I do understand how it can take away from what is being said, especially if one doesn't talk that way.
It was a long article for sure, but I like those. We actually had to edit out some because I felt if it got too long people would lose interest. Healy's a cool guy though, I really do like him! |
I thought the interview was great.
100% Pure Brian!

That sounds like my first marriage.
My wife who loves me back and I saw you perform in Joe's Garage on Friday.
She was the lady who requested "A Quiet Little Place." It's one of her favorite songs if all time.
She still enjoyed the concert... as did I.

I was listening to this song today and it's pretty great.
I too love it and the other blues songs, while I used to just tolerate them.
