The Vigil is Kemper's best album easily. We used several of the songs in our wedding. Our "lentil version" of The Danse was the best I have heard yet. I fell asleep to the Vigal last Saturday night.

Ok...so sometimes I tell journalists that touring can be boring. It's true, it can be at times. But then again, I also tell them what a rippin' keytar player I am. This tour has most certainly not been boring! A couple words: Seattle rocks.
In Portland, there's a place called the Hot Cake house which is this 24 hour, beyond greasy spoon joint that serves (apparantly) the best pancakes money can buy. That is, if you survive the "Pancake Nazi". Seriously, Jeremy and Bruce experienced his wrath first hand and schooled me on the proper etiquette before I went in. Rule #1: you can't sit until you order. Rule #2: You better know what you want. Rule #3: Don't speak unless spoken to. (no, im kidding it's not that bad, but still...) If you're ever in Portland and want a killer pancake at 4am, Hot Cake House baby!
