Bumping to the top. Hope to see some (any) of you there. Looks to be a pretty decent line-up this year although the kids almost had me thinking of going to Ichthus instead this year. Too busy last week and too much Cornerstone in the blood I guess.
As I said we'll be at A9 this year stop by for a visit (morning coffee is about the best time to catch us).
Hi Marti!

And then there is the whole thing about buying from a business out of state.......
We bought furniture from a store in Illinois (25 miles away from us in Indiana.
I thought I could save the delivery charge by picking it up myself, we have a pick-up and a trailer.
They told me if I picked it up, I had to pay tax on it. If they delivered it, since it was going to a different sate, I didn't have to pay tax. The tax was more than the delivery charge, so i had it delivered.

I'm not sure I agree with that. If it were true and only the transaction would be taxed, as opposed to the individual item........then all items (since it isn't the item but the transaction that is taxed) would be taxed equally. But we, of course, know that isn't true. In my state there is NO tax on food or drugs, but other items are taxed at a certain percentage, then what about gas, we know there are many and different taxes on fuel, food at a restaurant is taxed even though it isn't taxed at the grocer. Hotel rooms are taxed, which isn't even a tangible item.

I like free stuff, but (and likely due to I'm lazy and not motivated) I have never downloaded a single song. I have bought discs on ebay and other places where I'm sure the band gets no $$ for it, but it is often things I first am not sure I'll like or that I can't find retail.
If I like something, I will often get the whole catalogue (music in this instance).
What really pi##es me off though is paying tax on used items, cars for instance.........When the car was sold new, it was taxed, why should it be taxed again?
I buy lots of saddles on ebay. I like experimenting and the types of saddle I like are pretty costly. I know that is different than music, where it could be copied and sold and then 2 people could be listening to the same original sale, unlike a saddle where when my butt is in it, no one else can be using it.
What i often wonder about is libraries......I likely read 200 books a year, and I buy VERY few (usually Christian ones that I couldn't find at a library). If I had purchased all the books I have read, I woudl need several rooms to hold them. But none of those authors has actually recieved a cent from me.

It may be some sort of powerful cosmic video. Last night I clicked to waqtch and about 25 seconds into the song.......the power for our whole house went out! It was off for about 15 seconds and came right back on. Not a breeze or a cloud in the sky.
You may need a warning label for that video.

Man you are not kidding, I was planning on creating a Lost Dogs Route 66 geocache too. I just called the coffee house where they are playing today....which is over 2 1/2 hours from my house......and they are there setting up already.
Oh well, I won't be seeing them or participating in the route 66 tour

Does anyone have any idea what's going on with the tour? It looks to me as if the RV is still sitting in Moline (2-3 hours from Chicago), where it has been for the last day and a half. Is is stuck due to flooding (our schools are all closed out this way due to the flooding) or is the GPSr not operating. Since i couldn't get any details otherwise, I thought I would just track the RV and catch up with them......

Hey, I want to start out and do the first "dog leg" of the Route 66 journey with you. Let me know where and when you will be starting so I can follow along, add to your crowd, be a footnote, inject clever wit and maybe buy lunch.

I am trying to hook up with the boys for the entire day Monday, traveling from Chicago to Bloomington Illinois.
I'll PM also.

It is a great song......I tend to list on shuffle frequently to most discs, so I don't get too anticipatory and want to skip the occaisional one I'm not thrilled over or to jump to the upcoming fav. That's just me.
As for Doc's last picture, I seem to recall that many years ago this place sponsored a women's softball team.....

DaLe - Beki Hemingway!!!!!
Man I miss her. She used to be in Chitown area and we could catch her sometimes. Plus she did C-Stone a few times.
I quit looking at her site because she was never touring. Please tell me Erik was at that show too (if you know what I mean).

and last year he was working for a little extra cash by being a guitar tech

Oops BTW, welcome guys, haven't seen you around previously (either much or at all)
Glad you took time to post. Now you can come down to the off-topic area and play with the "big dogs"
